What is neem?
Neem (or Azadirachta indica) is a tree native to Asia. It has been used as nature’s own dental health care solution for thousands of years in India. Additionally, the bark, leaves, and seeds are used to make medicine. Additionally, the root, flower, and fruit have also been used to treat various diseases, inflammation, etc. This is all possible due to its antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. (Commonly used in the Ayurvedic practices) (see What is Neem? post for more details)
How is neem beneficial to my oral health?
Neem is great for your teeth and gums. With its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, Neem is highly beneficial for your dental care routine. Using the Neem twig can keep your teeth clean by reducing plaque and preventing tartar. It’s also beneficial to your gums by preventing gingivitis and strengthening your gums. Additionally, Neem Twigs act as an oral deodorant and freshen your breath.
How to use neem in your oral care routine?
Neem twigs can be plucked right from the tree and used to brush your teeth. First, you’ll want to remove the bark to expose the raw twig. Next, you’ll want to bite down on the Neem Twig in order to fan out the fibers. This also exposes the internal juices. Now, it’s ready to brush. They can also help in relieving toothaches due to their natural anti-inflammatory properties.
To improve this routine, you can order Natural Neem Electric Toothbrush. You can insert the neem twig and use the handle to vibrate it. This helps improve your oral care routine. Additionally, with the Neem Twig Monthly Subscription, you can receive Neem Twigs with their bark already removed, rounded, and tipped for easy installation, simplifying your oral care routine.

Why is it difficult to fray my neem twig?
If you’re finding it difficult to fray your neem twig, be sure to run it under water for at least 20 seconds. This will soften the wood making it easier to bite down on it and fray into a fan.
How should I store the neem twigs?
Storing the neem twigs at room temperate, preferably in the original packaging, is the optimal method for storage. This allows them to breathe and maintain freshness.
What can I do with the neem twig if I don’t have a compost?
Even if you don’t specifically have a compost, the wood is still biodegradable and can be simply tossed in your garden or placed in the garbage without the guilt of adding non-biodegradable plastics to the environment.
What is our subscription cancelation/pausing policy?
You may pause or cancel your monthly neem twig delivery subscription plan at any time. However, please note that we typically harvest the neem twigs 6 weeks before a shipment arrives at your door. So please notify us at least 6 weeks in advance of your intention to pause or cancel your subscription.
If you notify us after we have already harvested the neem twigs on your behalf, rather than unnecessarily waste those twigs we will deliver those twigs to you and cancel your subscription for the following month. It is not our intention to send you neem twigs that you don’t want, but we also don’t want to needlessly waste perfectly good neem twigs. As always, we will do our best to work with you.
If you enrolled in a multi-month neem twig subscription plan and wish to cancel before the end of the term of that plan, we will deduct the equivalent of the cost of a one-month neem twig subscription multiplied by the number of monthly shipments sent to you since you began the subscription plan and refund the difference to you.
If you are pausing your subscription, please be aware that you may be subject to price changes that may have occurred upon restarting your subscription.
We reserve the right to cancel any subscription if we believe the customer is attempting to commit fraud or otherwise act in bad faith.
What is our refund policy?
As neem twigs are perishable, unfortunately, we are not able to offer returns or refunds on them. However, if the neem twigs have been damaged during shipping, please contact us and we will do our best to replace the damaged sticks. There is a 30-day warranty on the electric handle (please see the “Warranty” section of our Terms and Conditions).
Why have a monthly subscription?
It takes us roughly 6-8 weeks to freshly pluck the neem twigs in India, debark them, clean and cut them to the appropriate size, and then import them to the USA. If you are part of our Subscription Plan, we can ensure that you will receive your monthly supply of neem twigs on time every month, so you won’t miss a single day. Alternatively, if you choose to purchase the neem twigs as a one-time purchase, please understand that it will take approximately 6-8 weeks from the time you place your order until we are able to deliver them to you.
